Book 3 is nearly here: I'm so excited as I have seen all the pictures and they are looking great. Can you guess what colour the book is going to be?

Here is the first review:

The Amazing Adventures of Starr: The Golden Masterpiece

Book Three

 Author: Jacky Rom

Review by Helen Potter

After much waiting with bated breath, it’s finally here! The third book in a smashing series that’s captured the hearts of so many young children. The wait is finally over, with the third installment of the aptly named Starr’s adventures being released and once again capturing the imagination like no other children’s book on the market at the moment.

As if the last book wasn’t exciting enough, ‘The Golden Masterpiece’ whisks us readers away to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Maarten. While the book is filled with refreshing descriptions of a place that I can only imagine is breathtaking to visit, we are entertained once again with the hilarious Sean (and some rather sensational outfits), some new faces, and not forgetting, of course, a rather mischievous and amusing blue hair encounter that captures you even right at the beginning of the book.

As per usual, expect some ‘edge-of-your-seat’ drama, not to mention stunt falls from trees, rescued waitresses, pirates, kidnapping, and martial arts all in the mix! If you like anything exciting, with moment after moment of drama, laughs and anticipation, this book is the place to start (except perhaps from the first of the series), particularly for any parent who wants to motivate their child away from the TV for a while. This book provides the perfect avenue into reading for anyone who’s been too bored by books before, and with such lovable characters and hilarious sub-plots, who could resist?

Once again, Rom brings another brilliant, child-friendly book into the world and satisfies her followers, who I can guarantee won’t be disappointed. Let’s hope there are more to come, and they’re each as good as those we’ve seen so far!

Great review! Thanks Helen!

"The Missing Extra" by Jacky Rom is a cross between a detective story and the glamorous world of fame and fortune. It tells the story of a young girl with a very pushy backstage mother who lands her first movie role and solves a mystery whilst on set. The book is fast paced and funny. This is the first in a series of 5 books the 2nd of which has just been published, called "The Lost Script". Both books are worth a read. My girls loved them. Aimed at children age 8 - 12.

Hi all! Hope you are all enjoying the new look website. We are still working on it and it will continue to grow and grow.

Have you read my new book "The Lost script"? There are lots of funny characters in it. You should meet the mad twins; they are really nasty. They are called Lola and Tallulah. They try to get us into lots of trouble. You may have also seen some pictures of a shaggy dog on my website. Well, his name is Frobisher and I would like to adopt him. Mum says we can't have a dog because we are away so often. That's very true but I would love to have him around. He is sooooo cute!

Have you signed up for my newsletter? I try to keep you all updated with what's going on. You will find the sign up page by clicking on the Fanclub and Gossip button at the top of the page.

Well, that's all for today. Why not join my facebook group at : http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41098640921&ref=search

 Hello, everyone…

Well, it’s been a really busy time recently, and I am just about to go on holiday. Mum and dad are taking me to Egypt.  Grace is coming too as she loves anything Egyptian.  I am sure it’s going to be lots of fun!

When I get back I will tell you all about it.

Grace is a bit more adventurous than I am and I know she will try to persuade me to try some new things like water skiing or scuba diving – not sure if I am that brave but we’ll see.

My dad said he just wants a rest. He has been working very hard selling cars. Mum won’t rest. She is always working, making sure I don’t miss a chance of work!  Secretly Grace and I call my mum “The Sergeant” because she is always bossing everyone around.

I guess, then, it will be Grace and I off on our own to explore Egypt. Well, not all of Egypt, just a little bit.

I will see you when I get back.

Happy sleuthing!
